Our guest speaker Nancy H. Van Duyne will speak about what's happening in aviation on Capitol Hill.

Nancy Van Duyne is the Vice President for Congressional Affairs for Continental Airlines, Inc.  Nancy is the primary lobbyist for Continental and its 42,000-plus employees, representing the legislative interests before Congress, the Administration, the Federal Aviation Administration, the Department of Transportation and the Transportation Security Administration.

Before coming to Continental in March 1993, Nancy served as the Director of Federal Legislation for the Air Transport Association in Washington (1989-1993), manager of the public affairs department of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in New York City (1986-1989), and Special Projects Director for former U.S. Senator Bill Bradley (D-NJ) in his Washington office (1981-1985).

Nancy is a 1980 graduate of Williams College (B.A.) and a 1986 graduate of the Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs and Leadership (NYC).  She is currently serving on the Board of Trustees for Bloomfield College (Bloomfield, NJ);  she is also serving as Treasurer for the Class of 1980 (Williams).

Nancy resides in Arlington, Virginia with her daughter, Katie.

It is that time of year when the thermal shelters close and many families are displaced to the outdoors. Streetlights Community Outreach is in need of all types of new or used camping gear. Please dig through your attics and ask your neighbors for any camping gear that can go to a very worthy cause. We will be accepting the items at the April 7, NVBTA meeting. We would also accept cash donations to go out and buy tents and sleeping bags.

Thank you for your help!
